Activists have been pushed so far back that officers in front of the Bella Center have taken their helmets off and put away their batons. Modkraft’s correspondent tells that an activist has been carried on a stretcher and taken away on an ambulance. Another activist has suffered a broken arm but continues anyway to demonstrate. Meanwhile at the people’s meeting, a woman from Jubilee South has received applause after a speech about climate debt. She said among other things, that although the West has a climate debt to lands in the South the demand from the south is not money, but system change. Afterwards, a representative from the Canadian postal workers’ union took the microphone and called on the trade unions that had stayed at home. "Where are the red unions now?" he would like to know. It should be a case for all unions to reveal the ’corporate brainwash’ that is taking place in the Bella Center." He said.

"After 150 years extraction of oil, the rest should stay in the earth because the only oil that doesn’t contribute to global warming is that which stays in the earth." says a woman from Ecuador. People shout: "Leave the oil in the soil!" "Energy should not be in the hands of businesses and we demand that the atmosphere should not be privatised." says a speaker from Mexico.

Some demonstrators are trickling out - there are also officers in the area. Activists are coming with a pontoon bridge made out of air mattresses that could possibly be used to cross a canal. However, officers with dogs are positioned on the other side.

This is because delegates are forbidden from leaving the area. Police say that they will arrest them if they attempt to come out. Police say also that they have confiscated two "war-bikes" in the centre. See picture of the bikes at DR.dk.
Henrik Suhr, police press service reports that the arrested person, as Modkraft previously mentioned, will be charge for violation of the arms act because possession of a knife.

He confirms, that climate activists has used the place to build bicycles related to the action on wednesday at Bella Center. He values that there is 100 bicycles on Bolsjefabrikken (Candy Factory), but dismisses that it would be illegal.
- People has built bicycles, many for the the foreigners that are in town so they can get around. It's a good climate friendly form of transport, he says.
Besides a bicycle workshop, the cultural centre has also been used as a media centre in connection with alternative media's.

The demonstration is announced to go to the Danish Ministry of Defense by Holmens Kanal (Canal). It is a larger number of demonstration then the previously announced civil disobedience demonstrations - Hit the Production and Do not Buy the Lie, respectively, Sunday and Friday.
Served soup and herbal tea from a van, reports Modkraft transmit, and there are many protesters in colorful clothes and with drums.
The demonstration will not move against the Defense Ministry at 12 o'clock, says one of the organizers to Modkraft. This is due to yet another demonstration not has arrived, because it is controlled by the police.
Organizers said that the demonstration is legally declared to the Copenhagen Police, and that it has signed an agreement for it to go to the Defense Ministry, after which it dissolves.
Action concept is otherwise announced by the civil disobedient - just like in Sunday's Hit the Production and Friday's Do not Buy the Lie-demonstrations. The activists, according to the website climatenoborders.wordpress.com will 'open' the ministry so it can sense the climate - and it is not clear what the opening consists in.
The purpose of the demonstration is to highlight the link between climate change, climate refugees, and military role in 'creating refugees and the enforcement of repressive border controls'.

A bus with arrested has driven away. The police has divided the demonstration in two parts. The first demonstrants, were informed that to get through the police line, they needed to allow the police to search them. About 30 demonstrants were allowed to pass on that, while they could watch people behind dem beeing arrested and put in lines.

Medics has been allowed to go. There are reports of uses of plastic hand cuffs inside the demonstration and that atleast one has been hurt.

Several of the detained have pulled down the walls inside the cages in which they have been places -
Several of the benches have been removed from the cages - so the arrested are once again places sitting on the floor.
During the revolt the police brougt policedogs into the builiding for later to return outside with the dogs again.

December 12, 2009 19:56 - According to police up to 900 are arrested after the demonstration in Copenhagen today. Several of those arrested are still sitting on Amagerbrogade into strips. They have done this since the police mass arrest-actions at pm. 15:30.
The majority, however has been taken away in buses. Police expect that all detainees are sent to either Valby prison or the rest of the city's police stations within the next hour.

According to the Police 900 hundred activist have been arrested during and after the demonstration today in Copenhagen.
Several of the arrested are still sitting down on Amagerbrogade in strips, they have been sitting there since 15.30.

The police explained in a press release their arrest action on Amagerbrogade today that they feared that 'the riots would develop "if not intervened. The unrest, referring to the bottles and stones and firing of firecrackers at the Stock Exchange, Knippelsbro and Foreign Affairs. The police also justifies the action to "participants in the black bloc 'masked them self, broke windows and picked up stones from the pavement.
According to multiple media a policeman was hit in the head by a cobblestone. It happened after confrontations between activists and police in Christiania earlier last night. Moreover, one demonstrator was injured after being hit by a chrysanthemum bomb.

The cops made preventive arrests because people had trown stones:
"-At 14.30 a big black were gathering -at 14.40 stones were being throwed.

So we(the cops) haven chosen time and place to make the preventive arrests in order for the peacefull demonstration to continue.

He saw people from the final block running to his block avoiding arrests.

Jeannet Pearl from parents against police brutality thinks the police arrest was unnesesary.
-This was an unprovoved attack at the demonstration from the police, we have not seen anythng justifying the attack - she says to Modkraft.
According to the cops, the activist were masked.
-Several activist had scarf around their necks and noses - but it is also very cold, arresting for that is low-standart.
What should the cops have done instead?
-They should have announced the arrest, so the people had a chance to remove their "masks" and get away, there were old people and kids among the group that got attacked aswell.
According to a cop at the scene the activist have been arrested according to the police law(publis disorder among others)
Acoording to the cop it is not purely a preventive arrest since the activist were masked, more cahrges could be added.
