Menneskerettighedscenteret "SOVA" i Moskva beretter på sin hjemmeside jævnligt om højreekstremistiske overgreb i dagens Rusland. Ifølge "SOVA" har højreekstremisterne i 2008 myrdet mere end 100 mennesker. Deriblandt en del aktive anti-fascister. Det foreløbigt sidste offer for nazisternes klapjagt på aktive anti-fascister er Ilja Dzhaparidze. En gruppe naziskins stak ham ned med flere knivstik på åben gade i Moskva den 28. juni 2009. Han døde kort efter på hospitalet af sine mange stiksår.

Russiske nazier i fremmarch
Mordet minder meget om en anden hændelse i Moskva den 10. oktober sidste år. Da blev Feodor "Fedjay" Filatov, en kendt anti-fascist dræbt på samme måde af en gruppe organiserede nazier, der overfaldt ham foran hans hus. I de senere år er højreekstremisternes (registrerede) dødelige angreb på hjemløse, ikke-russere og aktive anti-fa steget drastisk. Alene i 2008 steg de kendte tal til over hundrede myrdede mennesker.
Politiet og myndighederne udviser en åbenlys desinteresse i at opklare disse mord eller bare interessere sig for hændelserne. En af grundene er udbredelsen af højreekstremistisk, nationalistisk og racistisk tankegods inden for det russiske statsapparat. Dertil kommer de russiske mediers negligering og afpolitisering af mordene. I stil med de fleste vestlige medier betegner man som regel nazioverfaldene som resultat af interne opgør indenfor forskellige "asociale miljøer".
Ifølge Amnesty International (AI) blev der i foråret 2007 registreret over 180 anslag mod ikke-russere i Moskva. Siden er antallet af angreb steget med knap hundrede procent. "Næsten dagligt bliver der udøvet racistiske anslag mod ikke-russere", skriver AI i sin rapport. "Særlig ramt er mennesker, der stammer fra de tidligere sovjetrepublikker Armenien, Azerbadjan, Georgien eller fra de russiske Kaukasusrepublikker." Amnesty International kritiserer i samme rapport de russiske myndigheder for at tilsløre det sande omfang af racistisk vold i landet.
Trange kår for anti-fascistisk engagement
Der findes idag i mange russiske byer og regioner aktive anti-fascistiske grupper og initiativer, som forsøger at inddæmme nazisternes udfoldelse i det offentlige rum. Aktivisterne protesterer mod denne udvikling med livet som indsats. Alene det at tilkendegive ens anti-fascistiske holdning offentligt kan resultere i, at man modtager dødstrusler eller bliver overfaldet.
I den senere tid er aktive anti-fascister ikke kun konstant truet af organiserede nazibøller, men også af de statslige myndigheder. De statslige chikaner rækker fra masseanholdelser ved anti-fascistiske koncerter og filmarrangementer til forbud mod anti-fascistiske demonstrationer og fysiske overgreb fra politistyrkers side. Enhver anti-fascist der bliver anholdt for at have forsvaret sig mod nazistiske angreb får med sikkerhed en dom. Ofte er der tale om langvarige fængselsstraffe som "advarsel" for anti-fascisterne.
Nyere eksempler herpå er:
- - Alexej "Shkobar" Olesinov, som af en domstol i Moskva blev dømt til et års fængsel på grundlag af opfundne anklager fra civilpoliti med nazisympatier.
- - Alexej Bytschin, som forsvarede sig mod en gruppe fascister, der angreb en anti-fascistisk demo i Petersborg. Demoen markerede fascisternes militære nederlag den 8.maj 1945. Alexej Bytschin blev idømt fem års ubetinget fængsel for at have såret en af fascisterne.
- - Jura M. fra byen Vladivostok venter på en dom for at sætte sig til modværge mod nazier, som angreb ham på åben gade. En af nazisterne døde senere på hospitalet. For to år siden fik Jura M. fjernet sin ene nyre efter et overfald fra samme nazikredse.
- - Politiet i den russiske by Izhevsk er særlig kendt for deres gode forbindelse til de lokale nazikredse. Ifølge en statistik er der alene i 2008 blevet fængslet 80 kendte anti-fascister på grund af konstruerede "forbrydelser".
Listen kan fortsættes i uendelighed. Faktum er, at retten til at forsvare sig mod nazioverfald er sat ud af kraft. Myndighederne gør som regel alt for at chikanere, forhindre eller kriminalisere progressive sociale, kønspolitiske eller anti-fascistiske bevægelser, mens de lader nazierne og nationalchauvinistiske kredse agere uforstyret.
De russiske anti-fascistiske kredse har brug for international opbakning.
