Hopenhagen greenwash banner drop

A large banner was dropped over a Hopenhagen billboard in the City Hall square, site of the Hopenhagen Live music festival.

At 15:40 this afternoon two activists scaled one of the buildings in the Radhuspladset and dropped a banner in front of a Hopenhagen advertisement. The banner criticised the lack of democratic process in the Copenhagen talks [pic and article] and drew awareness to the International Advertising Association´s (with Coca Cola, SAP and Siemens) greenwashing campaign.

The activists, who climbed up scaffolding around the building were quickly followed by police and arrested within five minutes. The banner was also removed.
