There is no deal. The Obama-fix plan is simply a proposal, not that you'd know it from the pronouncements of a 'historis deal' by Obama and Brown,

Inside the Cop15 Bella centre there is confusion and dismay. Aside from the chaotic schedule of cancelled press conferences, moved rooms and shifting times, the truth is that many delegations know nothing about the details of the proposals. In short this is a sidestepping of the UN process.

When asked what he thinks of the "deal", the head of the G77 block replied that in fact many of the countries were yet to even see the text.

The "deal" or the "Copenhagen Accord" that the danes have been keen to get, promises nothing. Whilst it acknowledges a maximum 2 degree temperature rise target, it makes no proposals on emmisions reductions and contains nothing that is binding.

In terms of adaption, the very real task that faces much of the Global South, the $100bn figure touted by Hilary Clinton has already shrunk to a quoted $30bn.

People are really confused and many are angry.

Just so it's clear, there is no deal.
