Til protest imod henrettelser af politiske fanger!

Til protest imod henrettelsen af 5 politiske fangere i søndags (d. 9. maj) har
folk i næsten alle kurdiske byer gået i endags generalstrejke. I byerne
Sanandaj, Saqez, Marivan, Kamyaran, Mahabad, Bukan, Naqadeh, Sardasht, mfl. er
stort set alle forrentninger lukket og folk er ikke dukket op på deres
arbejdspladser. Selv folkeskolerne, gymnasier og universiteterne er lukket pga.
elevernes, lærernes og de studerendes manglende fremmøde.

Farzad Kamangar, den kendte og populære lærer og menneskerettighedsaktivist, som
blev henrettet i søndags sammen med 4 andre politiske fangere, kom oprindelig
fra den kurdiske by Kamyaran . Mange mennesker fra de forskellige byer er taget
til hans by for at besøge hans familie og kondolere deres tab og vise deres
solidaritet med både de politiske fangere og med de efterladte familier.

Det islamiske regime prøver at tvinge forrentnings ejerne til at åbne deres
forrentninger og truer de enkelte forretninger, som ikke turde og lukke deres
forretninger til at holde åbent og lade vær med at tilslutte sig strejken.

Generalstrejken i de kurdiske byer er et modigt initiativ og et slag til et
regime, som i disse dage forsøger at skabe frygt blandt den iranske befolkning
ved at henrette fangere og forfølge folk på åben gade. Generalstrejken i det
iranske Kurdistan viser endnu en gang, at folk i Iran ønsker det islamiske
regimes afgang og trods den store pris de betaler for at opnå deres ønske, er de
parate til at fortsætte kampen.
