Fredelig gadefest i indre by

De internationale aktionsdage for fristeder sluttede natten til søndag ud med en gadefest i indre by. 5-600 mennesker mådte op i en gyde mellem Vognmagergade og Gothersgade, som blev afspærret i begge ender med lægter, fliser og ildtønder, og hvor en presenning var hængt op som tag. Kæder af blinkende cykellygter og hundredevis af knæklys gjorde det ud for belysningen, og bl.a. Ras Money stod for musikken. Politiet holdt sig kampklædt, men på afstand, og festen forløb uden sammenstød. To blev dog anholdt efter ordensbekendtgørelsen. Der blev danset igennem fra festens start, indtil politiet ca ved kl. halv to krævede festen sluttet. The Assassinators bragede ufortrødent ud gennem højtalerne indtil lidt efter politiets tidsfrist, og så rykkede folk ellers stille og roligt ud på Gothersgade og videre ud i byen.

Good afternoon. There are plenty of good five-cent cigars in the country. The trouble is they cost a quarter. What this country needs is a good five-cent nickel.
