Solidaritet med de anklagede COP15 aktivister

- Ingen enkeltpersoner kan gøres ansvarlige for en hel bevægelse

Under klima topmødet i København blev omkring 2000 mennesker frihedsberøvet, mens de blandt tusinder af andre aktivister fra hele verden forsøgte at få deres stemmer hørt og at sætte klimaretfærdighed på den politisk dagsorden i klimadebatten.

Tilbage sidder 4 personer anklaget for at have planlagt vold mod tjenestemand i funktion, hærværk og grov forstyrrelse af den offentlige ro og orden. Anklager der potentielt kan give flere års fængsel. Herved forsøger staten at gøre enkeltindivider ansvarlige for en hel bevægelses kollektive protester.

De første retsager i efteråret er den 24, 25 og 31 august imod Natasha Verco og Noah Weiss. (Anklagesagen mod staten omkring de præventive anholdelser er den 23 og 30 august samt den 1 september). Retsagerne imod Stine Gry Jonassen og Tannie Nyboe er den 6, 27 og 28 oktober

Ligesom mange andre klima aktivister blev Natasha og Noah udsat for massiv politirepression både før og under klimatopmødet. En repression der kom til udtryk gennem tusindvis af præventive anholdelser, månedlange aflytninger af telefoner, overvågning og ransagning af private hjem og overnatningssteder samt groteske og unødvendige anholdelser og varetægtsfængslinger.

Trods alt dette, så har politiet en tynd sag, hvilket var tydeligt til retsagerne i marts måned, hvor politiets anklager forsøgte at stille fuldkommen urealistiske scenarier op, som ingen kendte til med Natasha og Noah som syndebukke.

Vi opfatter repressionen og forfølgelsen af politisk engagerede mennesker, som en krænkelse af ytringsfriheden og en kriminalisering af retten til at protestere og organisere sig politisk. Rettigheder som i vores øjne er en essentiel del af ethvert demokrati, også selvom der protesteres imod det eksistrende politiske system.

Derfor opfordrer vi alle til at vise solidaritet med de anklagede og synliggøre kritikken af de igangværende processer.
